Beginners Guide to Getting Stoned... I mean Stones! (Serpentine)

Tumbled Serpentine
Nothing makes me think of spring and summer more than Serpentine, with its varying hues of green. A symbol of lushness and nature, it was used by the ancient Egyptians in scarabs and amulets, as green was associated with fertility and rebirth—an ideal reflection of this time of year.

Often associated with healing, balance and harmony, the green energy of Serpentine is believed to help release emotional blockages, support personal growth, and invite a sense of calm and tranquility into one's life. The Mesopotamians used this gemstone to protect against negative energies and illnesses.

Thanks to these unique properties, this fascinating stone holds a special place in the world of crystals. It’s a popular choice for those seeking spiritual growth and emotional balance. Moreover, it pairs well with just about any summery outfit!

Healerite or Noble Serpentine Bracelet

While Serpentine is typically green, it can be found in various shades of yellow, brown, blue, or even white. This range of colors mirrors its wide Mohs hardness range (between 3 and 6) which results from the specific composition and mineral content formed where oceanic plates converge with the Earth's mantle.

Most notable locations where Serpentine is found include California's Coastal Range, Klamath Mountains, and the Sierra Nevada foothills, as well as regions in New Zealand, Russia, Greece, Cyprus, and parts of Europe. However, my favorite place to find this gemstone is in jewelry!

Sometimes confused as Jade, but never confused with the fictional race in Ninjago, Serpentine makes a wonderful addition to any collection!
