Mookaite: Oh, please, just call me Mooka
Certainly. Does that name hold any special meaning for you?
Mookaite: It does, it means Running Water in the local Aboriginal dialect.
Well that makes sense as you are only found exclusively in the Kennedy Ranges and the Mooka creek region. Is there anything else you can tell the readers about yourself?

Mookaite: Because of my composition, I'm classified as Chalcedony, which is a microcrystalline type of Quartz.
I understand that gives you a Mohs hardness rating between 6.5 and 7--the same range standard as quartz.
Mookaite: Why yes, it does! Because I'm relatively hard-wearing and resist scratching, I am commonly found in household objects and highly suitable for everyday jewelry.
But you are somewhat brittle...
Mookaite: WHO ARE YOU CALLING BRITTLE?
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. I was just referring to the brittleness as related to the harness scale--which means if you're dropped or subjected to strong impacts you could chip or fracture.
Mookaite: Good heavens, I hope you don't plan on dropping me or throwing me against a brick wall!
Not at all!

Mookaite: Good, because despite the Mohs rating, I am actually a very strong and valuable gemstone.
Why don't you tell us more about that?
Mookaite: I'd be happy to! For starters, I'm thought to help with stress. Many individuals use me in meditation to root out the cause of their emotional disturbance. In return, I promote calmness and help to achieve a stable frame of mind in which negative or traumatic experiences can be examined and released.
That is some pretty powerful stuff!
Mookaite: Isn't it? What's more, in crystal traditions, I'm used to promote presence in the "right now" and adaptability in life changes.
In other words, you encourage people to drop future anxieties to embrace the here and now.
Mookaite: That's correct. My core spiritual meanings are grounded in strength, courage, and ageless vitality. Not to brag, but I'm known to inspire flexibility, and help make confident choices during major life changes by connecting to your personal willpower and directing the energy of the earth.
Wow! That's amazing. What other great things can you tell us about yourself?
Mookaite: Well, I'm associated with several Chakras. In the Root Chakra my red shades are believed to build physical energy, stamina, and a basic sense of safety. My yellow and gold tones are thought to boost creativity, motivation, and joy in the Sacral Chakra. The attributes of personal confidence, willpower, and decisive action are generally assigned to the Solar Plexus Chakra.
